History tells us that the most important reason other generations collected coins was the value that coins would sometime attain. George Burns: Preferring cigars over most things in life, George Burns was also rarely seen on stage without a cigar. Starting his vaudeville career using cigars as props, Burns eventually became synonymous with cigars; the two were inseparable. Upon his death at 100, he was buried in a suit, with three cigars in his jacket pocket.
Everyone loves candles but recently gel candles have been the craze. The possibility of creatively and artistically designing them is one explanation. You can personalize them without difficulty…adding your own character when using as a gift. Another reason is they burn at a slower rate and last longer than paraffin or wax candles.
If you are off to buy wax to make gel candles bear in mind that gel wax is available in three densities -high, medium and low. If you want exceptional fragrance in your candles, high density gel wax will be the best choice since it will be able to hold the fragrance better than medium or low density wax. In other words, the fragrance of the candle will be stronger.
A non-stick multi-cooker should be used for melting wax when making gel candles instead of a double boiler, skillet or saucepan. This is because the multi-cooker speeds up the melting process…since gel wax is thicker than other waxes.
For stirring the gel wax, be sure not to use anything that is made of wood. Use something made from hard plastic or metal to minimize bubbles in the gel wax .
Since the gel is quite thick, pouring it in the mold can be a challenge…slowly does it. In addition, due to the consistency of the gel wax, molding time will increase.
