How to Economize on Baby Shower Graphics by Using Free Clip Art and Scrapbook Supplies
Even though the economy is bad at the moment, people still want to throw beautiful baby showers. The key to doing this in a down economy is to cut corners on aspects that won’t be noticeable. That can start with the baby shower invitations and move right on through the shower decorations and the scrapbooks created after the fact.
One method for doing that is to use good baby clipart. Often you can find stylish free images online. Just enter the search term “free baby clip art” and the type of image you want. For example, if you want blue baby boy clip art, enter those words or some variation of them in the search box. The same will work with virtually any theme you can think of, although the more obscure the theme, the less results a search will garner. If when you search you can locate images that have high resolution, you’ll open up more options for using it. That’s because print projects such as invitations or decorations require high resolution images. You certainly wouldn’t want to use low-resolution art because the end result won’t be clear. That would never do for the invitation or decorations for this special day.
But clip art isn’t the only baby art resource you can find free online. There are also many sites that present free baby scrapbook paper. A number of very talented designers give away free versions of their baby shower scrapbook page layouts to promote for-sale products or their pages that display advertising. Either of these models give them a financial incentive to offer scrapbook paper and embellishment freebies. No matter the reason the free scrapbook materials are offered, the new mom wins! The themes for these are almost as numerous as there are stars in the universe, so they can be used instead of or in addition to clip art to make shower invitations and decorations. Themes range from silly and fun to vintage and retro to classy and luxurious. Retro baby art is all the rage right now, so you might want to try searching for free vintage baby scrapbook embellishments. A mom-to-be who loves this kind of art would probably be so pleased to have it as her shower theme!
Remember, these free baby shower clip art images, scrapbook papers and embellishments can obviously also be used to document the baby shower in a baby shower scrapbook that would make an excellent gift for the mom-to-be. That means any image searching you do will pay off in more ways than one, and give the mom a baby shower with memories she’ll treasure.
